Angela with a Waitahanui Brown taken on a nymph. We came across quite a few which were not intrersted in our offerings, turning away and slowly cruising of to the cover under the banks much to our frustration. In one pool we came across a dozen or so. I couldn't believe our luck, bound to get one of these. About a fly box later we had to admit defeat , move on and try and find a unsuspecting fish . It was coming towards the end of our 1/2 day, we had some fish in our sights. Pin point accurracy was required for the cast , Angela was doing a great job for her first time fly fishing but couldn't quite get the fly to where it needed to be. Let me have a cast I said as we were ready to go. Sure enough the indicator plunged under, I lifted the rod and came up solid, quickly handed the rod to Angela who did a great job playing the fish which took about 10 mins to land. Webster took some great photos and the brownie was released woundering just what the hell just happend .
