Brendon/Jono Quad adventure

Brendon with a solid rainbow
Brendons first fish of the day

Jono with a nice jack

I first meet Brendon and Jono in the Yasawa Islands Fiji, I was fishing my way through the Islands and they were partying . They had a go on my fly rods, these guys can cast . We got talking about trout fishing and kept in touch. They were keen on the quad bike adventure when the dry fly was in full swing. A quick email and these guys were up and fizzing, ready for the adventure. Early morning pick up and we were off. I always take a golf club and a couple of balls, there is a stunning cliff top and huge valley, perfect for a big swing with a driver. We didn't dissapoint and we all hit some cracking drives. This was a good sign !!After a 40min ride in we walked down stream trying not to spook any fish. The first pool for the day saw a large rainbow feeding in the tail. We decided on a dry/dropper combo. First cast by Jono and bang, we're in. These fish can pull and just when Jono thought he had it the fish took of again and caught Jono of gaurd, line break sh!!! Brendon up next and first likely piece of water and the big dry was crashed by a solid rainbow . Brendon's 5wgt bent in half and after 5mins a good rainbow gave in to the net. A great start to the day. Jono soon followed with a nice rainbow and so the day went. The last pool of the day saw 10 or so fish feeding on and just under the surface. Easy we thought, use the fly that has been catching all day and we will bag one of these as well. Yeah, right !! 1/2 a fly box latter we hit the jackpot and finally caught one but a great way to finish the day. Thanks for a great day guys and happy travelling through Indo.
