John and I are finally back in Korea. We couldn't stop talking about how much fun we had with you. Seriously, John would not stop talking about it. He definitely wants to go back. You were absolutely wonderful. Tell Briggs we say hi!! We miss him and we hope to see you again! Take care!

Welcome to the Central Plateau and pristine waters of Lake Taupo, the largest lake in Australasia at 615sqkms and over 600 ft deep.

Since the introduction of trout, both rainbow and brown, back in the early 1890's the Taupo region has become world renowned for its large numbers of hard fighting fish. It's like a pocket rocket of all fisheries.

The world famous Tongariro and other tributaries feed lake Taupo and offer the fly fisherman some fantastic fishing opportunities. We also have some of the best back country wilderness fly fishing in the world for both Rainbow and Brown.

Enjoy a 1 to ½ hour drive through stunning rural New Zealand where you are unlikely to see another angler. Gin clear water makes for some great sight fishing. Quad bikes and helicopter gives you access to more remote fisheries.

This is a wild fishery with no stocking and you can fish 365 days of the year.

There is always somewhere to fish regardless of the weather. Every time the fly goes in the water there is the chance of catching that "fish of a lifetime".

Brett, I have fished in British Columbia and many places in the American West, but I have never been to a river as beautiful as the one we fished on our quad bike trip. But, without your patient and expert guidance I'm sure I wouldn't have caught any of the monster rainbows we caught that day! You have got to be one of the best in the world. Thanks again for a great time fishing in your wonderful country.
